Bananas have been a favorite raw snack in most homes across the world. But did you know that you can transform green or ripe bananas into amazing treats? You can mash and fry them, bake them whole for breakfast, or combine them with other ingredients to make a fantastic dessert.

These three treats have bananas as their main ingredient, and they only take a couple of minutes to prepare and enjoy.

1.     Gluten-free banana pancakes

If you can’t imagine anything better for breakfast than pancakes dripping with maple syrup, you are not alone. There is a myriad of ways you can prepare pancakes so you can surprise your family with a new burst of flavor every morning. These gluten-free banana pancakes are amazing because it doesn’t have wheat and sugar.

The recipe calls for only three ingredients: eggs, bananas, and pumpkin pie spice. Mix everything in a blender and cook away. Not only are they exceptionally delicious and nutritious, but also easy to make and takes half the time.

2.     Banana bread

If you have very ripe bananas, making banana bread may be the way to use them. You can have the banana bread for breakfast, brunch with coffee, or park it for the kids as break treats. Try different banana recipes such as Liana’s banana bread, which only takes a few minutes to make and two large bananas.

Most recipes also need melted butter, sugar, two eggs, self-rising flour, cinnamon, and baking powder. Mash the bananas with either fork or spoon until smooth and then add in the eggs. Mix the melted butter and sugar separately and then add in the dry ingredients. Finish the process by adding the banana-egg mix to the rest and mix them well.

Transfer the mixture to a loaf tin and put it in a preheated oven. Bake the bread for 45 minutes, but check if it’s okay after 30 minutes.

3.     Banana Icebox Cake

Making banana bread or pancakes may not be everyone’s cup of tea, especially if you don’t love cooking. In that case, you can still make a delicious treat without using the fire at all. This banana icebox cake is easy to make and only uses three ingredients.

Line up a baking tin with plastic wrap before you begin the process. After that, beat the whipped cream until it’s creamy and spread a third of it on the tin. Line some sliced bananas on top of the whipped cream and then spread animal crackers on top. Repeat this process with another layer of whip cream, banana slices, and crackers to make three layers. Finish off the top with whip cream and cover the cake before refrigerating it overnight. Serve it for brunch the following day.

Each of these treats is mouthwatering and can be eaten at any time of the day. You can also have a blast making them as a family if you all take part in preparing one ingredient. Next time you see those yellow bananas on the counter, transform them into a magical treat that your family will love.
