Since I’m the recipe creator and writer here, I get to declare wraps are sandwiches. Victory for me! (It really is the little things in life.)

For me, wraps are the ideal way to eat sandwiches. I get many a raised eyebrow on that concept, but I do have my reasons. First, I have a smaller appetite. If a sandwich is made with a wrap, I get to eat more of it before I am full. Second, unless it’s amazingly good bread, it just muddies the flavors of the ingredients. For most sandwiches the key is the filling. Third, using a wrap makes the sandwich smaller. Some sandwiches look like you’ll need to unhinge your jaw in order to take a bite.

If you think that preferring a sandwich as a wrap raises eyebrows, you should see what people do when you eat your hamburger in a wrap. Again, it’s the same thinking as above: more burger flavor, greater amounts to consume, improved bite-ability. If you haven’t given it a try, you should. You could become a believer.

If you’re going to try a burger in a wrap, we have a few in our archives. Today I’ll start by sharing one of my favorites and a delicious garnish for it:

Gorgonzola Turkey Burger– I want cheese on almost every burger I eat. This one is an exception because the cheese is inside the burger. Crumbles of gorgonzola are infused in every bite of burger, making it insanely delicious.

Woven Bacon– My family is comprised of bacon fans. While a couple strips of bacon on top of a burger are fine, it becomes fantastic when you use woven bacon instead. No worrying about the bacon sliding off; you get bacon deliciousness in every bite. You’re welcome.
