Chocolate Cream Cheese Frosting

Chocolate is a favorite. Here’s a slightly different take on plain chocolate, one which gets a bit of an edge from cream cheese. It’s also straightforward and quick, requiring no cooking other than the melting of the chocolate.

 

 

 

 

 

Chocolate Cream Cheese Frosting

Ingredients
  1. 3 ozs. unsweetened baking chocolate
  2. 8 ozs. cream cheese, at room temperature
  3. 1 tbsp. milk
  4. 1 lb. confectioners’ sugar, sifted
  5. A few grains of salt
  6. 1 tsp. vanilla extract
Instructions
  1. Melt the chocolate by the method of your choice, either in a microwave or over simmering water
  2. Cool slightly
  3. While the chocolate is melting, mix together the cream cheese, milk, and sugar until well blended and all the lumps are removed
  4. After the chocolate has cooled a bit, add it to the cream cheese along with the salt and vanilla extract
