Recipe: Brad’s Multi-Grain Bread

Brad’s Multi-Grain Bread

A delicious bread perfect for pairing with a bowl of soup


  1. 4 cups lukewarm water
  2. 1 Tb. sugar
  3. 2 Tb. yeast
  4. 4 cups white unbleached flour
  5. 4 cups whole wheat flour
  6. 3/4 cup cornmeal
  7. 1/2 cup (total) containing millet, sesame seed and flax seed*
  8. 2/3 cup honey
  9. 1 Tb. + 1 tsp. salt
  1. In a small bowl stir together water, sugar, and yeast; let bloom.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flours, cornmeal, millet/sesame seed/flax seed, honey, salt.
  3. Pour yeast mixture over dry ingredients; mix together by hand.
  4. Take 2 large loaf pans and spray with no stick spray.
  5. Divide mixture into 2 parts and place in loaf pans.
  6. Spray top, then cover with plastic wrap and let rise one time.
  7. Bake at 350 degrees until done.
  1. Chef Notes: Make a blend of these seeds in a zipper bag and take out as needed!
