Cheese is very near the top of my favorite foods list. It definitely is in the top five. However, there is a constant battle for the number one spot, so rather than battling it out, I just keep a collective group of favorites.

My adoration of cheese covers a wide swath of products. From brie to goat to Fontina to Manchego to Asiago, I adore all of those and many more. Therefore, many a dish I make incorporates cheese. Check out these two appetizer recipes that benefit from the addition of cheese.

Cheesy Sausage Balls

Meatballs made with sausage you say? That in and of itself is an interesting idea. Take that idea to a whole new level of yumminess with the addition of cheese. No, it’s not healthy on any level, but this recipe is utterly delicious.

Cheesy Pull Apart Bread

Ok, I also adore a loaf of freshly baked bread, simply sliced and topped with butter. If you take a little time to cut it in a cross-hatch fashion and fill it with tasty ingredients, such as cheese, you have an appetizer that is amazing. Check out the recipe here.

Both of these recipes lean toward indulgence. However, if it’s a once in a while occasion, go for it! It’s good to splurge with your eating every now and then.
