From sunup to sundown, enjoy dishes that will satisfy your palate with a balance of sweet and savory flavors.
Have you gotten tired of me writing about my love for the pairing of sweet and savory? I am hoping the answer is no. In fact, let me offer five recipes that will help prove how wonderful that duo is.
Date & Pancetta Scones– What’s not to love about a day that starts with homemade scones? Many of my recipes veer toward sweet, but the addition of pancetta keeps these scones nicely in check.
Maple Bacon Scones– These scones are a meal in themselves. Not only are you having a delicious, homemade pastry, but it is topped with A LOT of bacon. No sides required, although a nap may be in order after eating.
Fig & Blue Cheese Pinwheels– Simple to make, beautiful to look at, delicious to eat. These pinwheels not only satisfy sweet and savory cravings but check so many other boxes.
Plum & Prosciutto Bites– These bite-sized appetizers look incredibly elegant but are ridiculously easy to make. Make a batch, and wow your guests! (No need to let them know about this appetizer’s simplicity.)
Watermelon, Blueberry, & Feta Salad– I first made this salad as a dish for a Fourth of July celebration. However, its wonderful array of flavors keeps it as a salad on regular rotation. It may be my favorite fruit salad I’ve eaten.
No matter when you’re craving that sweet and savory pairing, I have a recipe to satisfy. Pick one, and get cooking!
