On Mondays I usually post a recipe that has been enjoyed at our house in the last few weeks. Today I decided to do something different and recognize a special event that is helping a good cause.
Tomorrow IHOP is giving away pancakes. By pancakes, I don’t mean a single pancake that will accompany the rest of your meal. IHOP is giving away stacks of their buttermilk pancakes to any diner on Tuesday, February 5th from 7 am to 10 pm. In return for the free pancakes, IHOP is hoping that their customers will make a donation to the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals is celebrating their 30th anniversary this year. They raise funds for 170 nonprofit hospitals across America and Canada. Over the last thirty years they have raised $4.3 billion dollars. To learn more about Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, you can visit their website.
This year marks the eighth year that IHOP has celebrated National Pancake Day with free pancakes. Over this time, they have raised $10 million, which has been given to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and other local charities. If you are interested in helping but won’t be able to visit an IHOP tomorrow, you can learn more or make a donation by clicking here.
Here’s to a great cause and some delicious pancakes!
