Don’t complicate your football snacks with forks & knives.
Make these handheld snacks for delicious game watching.
Football season has returned. For many Americans, it’s a good excuse to spend Sunday at home, watch the games, and eat snacks. (There may be some adult beverages involved as well.) To keep the snacking simple, all of these recipes can be eaten with your hands. Just make sure you have napkins nearby!
Coconut Crusted Sweet Potato Fries– I find that most football snacks lean toward the salty side. To give a little balance, make these fries. The coconut lends a nice amount of sweetness, flavor, and texture.
Savory Parmesan Biscotti– Want a dish that no one else is going to bring, but everyone is going to love? Try these biscotti. Served plain or with some marinara for dipping, you’ll have people asking for the recipe.
Pumpkin Spiced Walnuts– It’s fall, which means it’s the season of pumpkin spice. Add some to the football menu with these easy to make walnuts: a little sweet, a little spice, and a whole bunch of crunch in one little package.
Spinach Balls– Move over, meatballs. These spinach balls are so full of flavor they don’t need a sauce coating them. Try one, and you’ll be sure to go back for seconds, thirds, and more.
Here’s to Sundays spent relaxing with snacks and football!
