Sweet, With a Hint of Salty, Maple Bacon Scones
When I created this scone recipe it truly was a labor of love. It took many, many version to get the right flavors and the correct balance of salty and sweet. Once finished I had the ultimate sweet and salty breakfast treat. It’s the total indulgence you need on a lazy, stay home sort of day.
Cranberry, Bacon, and Blue Cheese, Oh My, Pizza
Yes, I created this pizza recipe near Thanksgiving when cranberries are prevalent at your grocery store. If you have a hard time finding cranberries for this recipe, you can use the store-bought, canned version. (I won’t even be judgy.) Be prepared to be amazed at how good cranberry sauce tastes on pizza. You’ll wonder why you haven’t done it sooner.
Let the food planning begin! Decide when you want to spend a day enjoying all sorts of bacon happiness, possibly while staying in pajamas all day. I know that if I offered that sort of schedule to my husband, we’d be finding the soonest day that we could make it happen.
(Apparently, Bacon Day is celebrated on December 30th. I highly recommend not waiting that long!)
